Sue Gosling-Smith has been operating Lady
Muck Garden Centre since October 1999 and more recently has opened Bed
& Breakfast in her delightful home located in Kalamunda. She
has been a resident of the Kalamunda Shire for some 20 years and chose
this area to settle after living in Hong Kong for the first 10 years of
her marriage, when her husband was based there as a pilot with Cathy
Pacific Airways. Before her marriage, Sue was an Airline Hostess
with Ansett Airlines based in Melbourne and Adelaide, Australia and then
was an Airline Hostess with British Eagle Airlines based in London.
Sue and her husband chose the Kalamunda Shire to
settle in because of the semi rural atmosphere and larger sized blocks
after the congested living and hustle and bustle of life in Hong
Kong. Sue has lived in Gooseberry Hill, Bickley Valley and now
Kalamunda and her delightful 2 story home is located within walking
distance of the village of Kalamunda. Jorgensen Park (The
wildflowers in Spring are not to be missed) and
the start of the world famous Bibbulmun Track.
Furnishings in her home have been collected from her
travels around the world, and have a distinct oriental flavour.
She delights in collecting blue and white porcelain, has an eye for old
quilts and anything made from recycled products. In the last
couple of years, she has visited Northern India twice and the colour and
texture of purchases made in Rajasthan, Himshal Pradesh and Kashmir are
evident in her home, whilst still managing to create a cottage
atmosphere. Whilst living in Perth, she feels she has been privileged
to meet a Tibetan Buddhist Monk who conducts classes in the teachings of
Buddhism and traditional crafts of Tibet. She is a supporter of
the "Save The Tibet" campaign.
Sue, her dog "Irma La Douce", cat
"Duchess" and 6 "Spice Girls" chickens are always
happy to welcome travelers from all parts of the world into her home
and her aim is to make people feel comfortable and her home to be the
traveler's...
